Bridging the gap
The Mathematical Bridge on River Cam in Cambridge, UK, was first built in 1749 and again to the same design in 1866 and 1905. This was the first bridge in the World to be designed according to mathematical analysis of the forces in it.
I cannot pretend to understand many aspects of math but I am quite thankful that others do understand it. This bridge is a wonder.
Thanks for visiting one of my blogs. I have two more, if you're interested, http://portlandoregondailyphoto.blogspot.com and http://mamamepdx.blogspot.com
May I put a link to your blog at Portland (OR) Daily Photo, please?
very often we look at man made wonders and admire it for the sheer beauty without thinking of the engineering aspects of it ...thanks for the information ..
